The Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE International) has announced the 2011 Class of SAE Fellows. This year twenty-nine engineers and scientists received the distinction. See the full list

Two of the new Fellows are Tau Bates:

Dr. Badih Jawad, MI E ’86, professor and chairman at Lawrence Tech University.

Dr. Charles E. Roberts Jr., TX L ’90, institute engineer at Southwest Research Institute.

The California Psi Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at the University of California, San Diego, has posted a highlight video of this year’s activities. The video was shown at their end of the year banquet.

The LSU College of Engineering has announced that eight engineering undergraduate students are recipients of LSU’s Distinguished Communicator Award.

Five of the engineering students recognized are Tau Beta Pi student members, including: Jace Landry, LA A 2011; Brooke Morris, LA A 2011; Casey McMann, LA A 2011; Paul Nguyen, LA A 2011; Ifeanyi Okoro, LA A 2011.
