In a recent press release, Fish & Richardson announced that three of its Boston principals have been named to the IAM Patent Litigation 250 – The Worlds’ Leading Patent Litigators. Two of the three are Tau Bates:
Gregory A. Madera (MA B ’69) – principal with emphasis on complex patent, trademark, and copyright litigation.
Frank E. Scherkenbach (CA G ’86) – trial lawyer specializing in complex high technology litigation. Also, founder of the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology (1988).

This past weekend analog guru and one of the founders of Linear Technology passed away. Jim Williams was 63 years old and has two articles slated to be published by Electronics, Design, Strategy, News (EDN) in 2011.
He worked at Linear for three decades and has been the company’s long-time staff scientist. Read the full obituary for more on Williams’ career and life work.
