John F. Ahearne, Ph.D. (NY D ’57), is the Sigma Xi 2011 Leo Szilard Lectureship Award recipient.
Currently, Dr. Ahearne is an adjunct professor at Duke University. He served for 11 years with the government, is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and taught physics at several other institutions. Read the award announcement here
