Eighty-one students have been selected to receive graduate student fellowships from NASA as part of the inaugural class of Space Technology Research Fellows. Read the news release
“The program’s goal is to provide the nation with a pipeline of highly skilled engineers and technologists to improve U.S. competitiveness.” Several of the students are members of Tau Beta Pi, including: Nicole C. Bauer (GA A 2011); Christopher M. Pong (CA W ’08); & Eric C. Stern (MN A ’09).

California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, has named Debra Larson, Ph.D., Dean of Cal Poly Engineering. Most recently, Dr. Larson was a civil engineering professor and Academic Affairs administrator at Northern Arizona University. Click here for the press release

The recent tragic stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair has several agencies and groups trying to determine the cause of the collapse.
