Leaders in Engineering: Present & Future

A recent article from the International Business Times takes a look at the lack of women CEOs in the field of technology.

However, the article does profile females such as Judith Estrin (director of JLABS), Sandra Kurtzig (founder of ASK Group), and Carol Bartz (CEO of Yahoo!). Several up and coming females in the tech field are highlighted and the suggestion is made that this will encourage more women to aspire for management positions.

Popular Science recently profiled the 2011 class of high school inventors. The feature discusses each of the student’s research and highlights their future educational plans.

More than half of the ten high school students plan to studying engineering or related fields in computer science, physics, and bio-chemistry.
