Christopher M. Stone, P.E. (VA D ’78), is the 2011-12 President of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).

Stone is currently president of Clark Nexsen, PC, and has 30 years of experience in the design and management of public, private, and commercial projects. Read Mr. Stone’s bio here

In an article about the struggles with flood damage along the Missouri River, Susan Abbott’s, MO A ’03, work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is highlighted.

Abbott has spent more than 600 hours flying in a helicopter inspecting levees this summer. She is a civil engineer in the Corps of Engineers. Abbott is also an advisor to the MO Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at The University of Missouri-Columbia.
