The Houston Chronicle is reporting that the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has received a donation to help fund a new nanoscience building.

The gift was given by a couple from Omaha that has been involved in natural gas exploration in Australia. The building is scheduled to be completed in December. Read more here

Reports have surfaced that Nobel prize winner for physics (1973) Dr. Ivar Giaever, NY Q ’52, has resigned as a Fellow from the American Physical Society.
