Recent chemical engineering graduate with honors, Kristin Bretscher (PA H 2011), is eligible to be named a Capital One Academic All-American. Voting began this October.
As a member of Bucknell University’s track and field team, Bretscher was the winter season co-captain and recorded the ninth best pentathlon score in Bucknell history of 3,114 points. Read more here

The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) has announced that Jack R. Lohmann, Ph.D., P.E., is stepping down as editor of the Journal of Engineering Education after ten years.
Dr. Lohmann, OK G ’74, is currently vice provost for faculty and academic development and professor at Georgia Tech. He will stay on as editor while the search for his successor is conducted.

Amanda F. Mayette, ME A 2012, is an eligible candidate for homecoming queen at the University of Maine.

Mayette is a mechanical engineering major who serves as corresponding secretary for the ME Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi. She is also very active in community service and philanthropic activities.
