Dr. John D. Villasenor, VA A ’86, recently wrote a guest opinion article for The Chronicle of Higher Education.

In the piece, he discusses the new America Invents Act and its impact on universities and academic intellectual property.

Why do students change their minds about science? According to The New York Times, “studies have found that roughly 40 percent of students planning engineering and science majors end up switching to other subjects or fail to get any degree.”
