Richard G. Baldwin, WV A ’62, computer-science professor at Austin Community College (ACC), recently developed an open-access online tutorial for blind students learning physics.

The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers named David Whiddon, MA B ’77, the 2011 recipient of the William M. Kennedy Award at their annual meeting last week in Houston, TX. Click here for the press release
Mr. Whiddon is currently chief engineer at HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division. Previously, he served in the U.S. Navy retiring with the rank of Captain. “The William M. Kennedy award was established to honor a member of the shipbuilding industry for outstanding service and contribution in the development of systems and planning applying to shipbuilding and repair.”
