Recognizing Engineering Leaders

SAE International has awarded the Clarence L. (Kelly) Johnson Aerospace Vehicle Design and Development Award to two aerospace professionals.

Dr. Ramesh K. Agarwal, KS B ’68, is a professor of engineering and Director of the Aerospace Research and Education Center at Washington University (MO).

Bruce A. Banks, OH E ’64, is senior physicist, Alphaport, Inc., at NASA Glenn Research Center.

These two professionals were recognized for “making significant contributions during their career in the innovative design and development of advanced aircraft and/or spacecraft.” Read the full press release

George Mason University and its Board of Visitors have selected Dr. Ángel Cabrera as the sixth president of the University. Dr. Cabrera has BS and MS degrees in engineering.

Currently, he is the president of the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Read the news release

Cullen M. Zelachowski, OH I 2013, was recently voted as a First Team Capital One Academic All-District VII in football for 2011.
