On the Move: Campus News, December 2011

The University of Saskatchewan recently announced that Dr. Ilene Busch-Vishniac, MD A ’78, will be the ninth president beginning on July 1, 2012.

Currently, Dr. Busch-Vishniac is provost and vice-president of academic at McMaster University. Previously, she was dean of engineering at Johns Hopkins University. Read the news release

According to the Brown Engineering News blog, The Rhode Island Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at Brown University initiated 23 new members earlier this month.

The article lists the names of the fourteen juniors and nine seniors and comments that the RI Alpha chapter “is not only an honor society to pay tribute to outstanding students, (but) it also provides a vehicle for these students to assume a role of leadership at Brown to be of distinctive service.”

Kyle P. Kwiatkowski, NY B 2009, was recently profiled in an ASEE Prism article related to his engineering internship and first engineering position.

This past summer, while completing his civil engineering degree at Syracuse University, Kyle interned for the Dubai Construction Co. This experience helped prepare him for his first full-time position as a project engineer in Washington, D.C. Click here to read the full article
