Dr. Christopher T. Jones, GA A ’86, was recently named the 2012 Black Engineer of the Year in career achievement. Dr. Jones is sector vice president and general manager at Northrop Grumman Corp.

He received the award at the annual Black Engineer of the Year (BEYA) STEM Conference. Dr. Jones recently retired from the Connecticut Air National Guard as a lieutenant colonel. Click here for a full bio

With an engineering and Applied Physics background, Dr. Robert J. Lang, CA B ’82, “is one of the foremost origami artists and theorists in the world.” In 2001, he left JDS Uniphase to start Langorigami.

Dr. Lang, according to his Wikipedia biography, uses computers to study theories behind origami and is still an engineering consultant.
