The Arizona Daily Wildcat recently covered the competition taking place at the University of Arizona between engineering clubs during Engineers Week (E-week). The “week-long competition challenges engineering students to perform engineering activities and to be active in community service projects.”

The Arizona Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi is an active participant in the week’s festivities and co-hosted a volleyball tournament and scavenger hunt. Read the article

This week marked the 50-year anniversary of John Glenn’s orbit of Earth. Aboard the Friendship 7 Mercury spacecraft, he became the first U.S. astronaut to orbit the Earth.

ABC News highlighted the occasion and discussed Glenn’s frustrations with the current state of the U.S. space program.
