In an effort to share developments of the Tau Beta Pi MindSET teacher development module, three MindSET representatives will present at the upcoming American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Conference and Exposition in San Antonio, TX. Titled, “Preparing for Hands-on and Minds-on Explorations in Math and Science: That Tau Beta Pi MindSET Teacher Development Program,” will be presented on Friday, June 9, from 3-4:15pm.

Popular Science is reporting on research being done at MIT related to a “new brain-computer interface designed to detect when a person’s workload becomes excessive and to modify said workload to make it easier.” The system is called Brainput and uses “sensors on a user’s forehead to track the anterior prefrontal cortex, which is involved in high-level processing.” Read the article
