Engineers: Graduates, Professionals, & Scholars

Carol Smith Cayo, WI D 2012, was awarded the most prestigious student award at the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s recent commencement. Cayo graduate with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. The Fred F. Loock Outstanding Student Award is determined by MSOE faculty based on “excellent academic record and demonstrated leadership and professional bearing in extracurricular or community service activities.” Read the article

After graduation, Cayo plans to work for Epic Systems (WI) as a project manager and implementation coordinator.

In a recent press release, Perminova, Inc., announced the addition of Andrew S. Terry, CA Y 04, as vice president of software engineering. Perminova is a “developer of web-based information systems for national cardiology centers.”

Terry was most recently a manager of embedded software engineering at Sotera Wireless, Inc. He will be tasked with leading an “international engineering team on Perminova’s first web-based information system for cardiac electrophysiology labs.”

The Danville-Alamo-Walnut Creek branch of the American Association of University Women recently announced seven scholarship winners. Amanda M.K. Fujii, CA E 2012, was named as one of the Scholars. She is working towards a degree in mechanical engineering at UCLA. Read the new article
