Engineering FYI, June 2012

The Western New England University College of Engineering presented awards to several graduating students during the recent Baccalaureate ceremonies. Four Tau Beta Pi student members were recognized:

Laura M. Daniel – (MA A 2012) received the Biomedical Engineering Award and was president of the MA Iota chapter
Jessica N. Evans – (MA I 2012) received the Creative Excellence Award and a degree in electrical engineering
Sara M. McMurray – (MA I 2012) received the Creative Excellence Award and a degree in electrical engineering
Lindsay M. Tencza – (MA I 2012) received the Biomedical Engineering Award and was vice president of the MA Iota chapter

The Eagle Tribune (MA) recently profiled chemical engineering graduate Thomas M. Gostanian, MA Z 2012. Earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in May, Gostanian will attend the University of Wisconsin to pursue a Ph.D. in chemical engineering.

The article highlights his research activities, role in several stage performances and plays, and his successful presentation at the annual meeting of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
