Dr. Satish J. Ranade, NM A ’76, was recently named head of the electrical and computer engineering department at New Mexico State University. Dr. Ranade has been a professor of engineering at NMSU for 31 years. Read the article from the Las Cruces Sun-News

My goal is to increase our national recognition while maintaining that excellence in our undergraduate program and produce growth and visibility for our research,” Dr. Ranade said.

The family of the late Jerry Zucker, (SC G ’68) engineer and founder of the InterTech Group, has made a donation to Clemson University to “help pay for a new graduate education center at the former Navy base” location.

The Illinois Valley Central High School has named Tana L. Utley, IL D ’86, the 2012 Distinguished Alumni. Utley is vice president, CTO for Caterpillar Inc. She earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University.
