Popular Science is reporting on the Gamera II helicopter’s efforts to make aviation history by setting a new record for human-powered hover. The group of students from the University of Maryland will attempt to get the helicopter to hover for at least 60 seconds. Read the article

This is a reminder about Tau Beta Pi’s 2012 Convention in Lexington, KY. The deadline to register for this year’s Convention is August 1. The Convention will take place September 27-29 at the Hyatt Regency Lexington and be hosted by the Kentucky Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at the University of Kentucky.
