An engineering professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) recently wrote a special report article for The Chronicle of Higher Education on new hardware that allows for hands-on learning with a studio approach. The technology is called Mobile Studio and was developed by RPI with assistance from Howard University and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Due to its lower cost, “every engineering student gets his or her own (electronics) board” to be able to perform engineering labs wherever they would like. It also allows professor to create new modules anywhere, even at home.
