The Charter Fellows of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) will be inducted on February 22 at the NAI Conference in Tampa, Florida. The 2012 class consists of 101 innovators that together hold more than 3,200 U.S. patents. See the full list here

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette recently published an article about an MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) to be offered in June by the University of Pittsburgh. The online course, “A Look at Nuclear Science and Technology,” will be taught by Larry R. Foulke, Ph.D., P.E., a retired nuclear engineer, past president of the American Nuclear Society, and currently and adjunct professor at Pitt.
Dr. Foulke, MA B ’64, has already started production and filming for the course, which has almost 12,000 signed up to date. The course description is “for those who want to learn more about nuclear energy and the nuclear industry.” Read the article
