Aerospace engineer Wayne A. Wong, MD B ’89, was recently selected as the Asian American Engineer of the Year. The national recognition is awarded through a collaboration between the National Engineers Week Foundation and the Chinese Institute of Engineers, USA. Wong works at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH, and was cited for being a community leader. Read a news release from NASA, and see Wong accepting his award here

The Maryland Beta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi recently announced the date and details for its annual 5K fundraising event. This year’s proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The race is scheduled for Sunday, April 7, beginning at 11am. Click here for more information and to register
