Tau Beta Pi Association News, March 2013

This week the Massachusetts Delta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at Tufts University will host their spring initiation. Along with initiating several undergraduate engineering students, the MA Delta chapter will also induct Tufts Associate Dean of Engineering G. Kim Knox, P.E., as an eminent engineer. Adam Pardes, (MA D 2013) President of the MA Delta Chapter, said, “She (Knox) was pretty much the prototype for the type of person they’d like to honor as an eminent engineer.”

Knox received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and her master’s in structural engineering from Tufts. She has been a practicing engineering for more than 30 years and previously worked for the Massachusetts Highway Department before joining Tufts in 1994. “I am honored and humbled by this honor,” Knox said. Tau Beta Pi is pleased to announce that Christina M. Harrison, TN A ’93, has been appointed as a new District 11 Director. She currently resides in Maple Grove, Minnesota, where she works for Procter & Gamble. Harrison received her degree in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee.
