Fairfield University has announced the appointment of Dr. Bruce W. Berdanier, P.E. (SD A ’80), as dean of the School of Engineering. Currently, Dr. Berdanier is an engineering professor and department head of civil & environmental engineering at South Dakota Sate University. He will begin his new role on July 1, 2013. U.S. Representative Thomas H. Massie is the Congressional Representative for the 4th District in Kentucky. He was elected into office in November 2012. Previously, Massie (MA B ’93) was Judge-Executive of Lewis County (KY). He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT.
