Making News: Engineering Students & Professors

The Ohio State University College of Engineering recently honored the 16th Annual Distinguished Faculty Awards winners. Several of the 2012 awardees are Tau Beta Pi members. Below are a few that were selected: (see the full list)

Dr. Lisa M. Abrams, P.E. (OH G ’88), Chief Advisor OH Gamma – received the Charles E. MacQuigg Award for Outstanding Teaching.
Dr. Linda K. Weavers, (MN A ’92), Faculty Diversity Excellence Award
Dr. Robert A. Siston, (OH G 2000), David C. McCarthy Engineering Teaching Award

On Friday, April 26, the Arizona Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi hosted spring initiation for 17 new members of Tau Beta Pi at the University of Arizona. Special thanks to TBP District Director Matthew T. Pittard, UT B ’01, for providing the picture below.

The Nevada Beta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, has been working on a new chapter website. The site currently has a full list of NV Beta members by graduation year, recent images of chapter activities, and a shop to buy TBP Association insignia apparel and the uniquely designed t-shirt for NV Beta members. We recommend that you check out the website as more information is added.
