In late April, 15 engineering students from the Puerto Rico Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagϋez volunteered at the Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge as the chapter’s spring semester environmental activity/service project. The initial plan was to plant at least 500 seedlings, “but our candidates and members had the opportunity and drive to give the extra mile and surpass this goal, planting over 550 seedlings native to the area.” Click here to visit the PR Alpha Chapter’s website for more information and pictures from this activity
