On Campus, May 2014

Nine engineering students from Arizona State University’s Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering were recently selected as distinguished graduates. The honor is bestowed “primarily for significant contributions and accomplishments beyond the classroom.” Andrew J. Creighton, AZ B 2014, was the distinguished graduate in aerospace engineering. He attained degrees in aerospace engineering & political science and will work as a systems engineer at Raytheon. Click here for the article and the full list of honorees

Recording secretary of the Louisiana Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, Forest S. Engel (LA G 2015), posted the image below of the chapter’s two newest initiates with the following message, “Congratulations to the newest members of Tau Beta Pi! Great work!” In the picture below (from left to right), is Jolie L. Vrabel, LA G 2015, and Christa Anne Swafford, LA G 2015. The initiation was held last week at Louisiana Tech University.

Villanova University has announced a gift commitment from “John “Jack” G. Drosdick, retired CEO and president of Sunoco, Inc. The gift is designated for the College of Engineering and will fund a new Engineering Innovation Lab in the Center for Engineering Education and Research. “It is my hope that the hands-on work students do in this lab will greatly influence their future careers and impact as engineers,” said Drosdick.
