The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) recently profiled Stephanie I. Fraley, Ph.D. (TN Z ’06). Dr. Fraley joined the University of California, San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering as an assistant professor in July 2014. Her research focuses on “understanding the multi-scale physical and molecular contexts that drive complex cell behaviors in cancer and sepsis.”

Dr. Fraley earned her undergraduate degree in engineering from UTC and her Ph.D. in chemical and biomolecular engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. Read the article for more details on her time at UTC and her future plans

This past weekend, the Michigan Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at Michigan State University (MSU) hosted four Tau Beta Pi Engineering Futures sessions. Dirk J. Colbry, Ph.D. (MI A ’06), presented the sessions as the Engineering Futures Facilitator. Dr. Colbry is the Director of the High Performance Computing Center at MSU and an advisor to the MI Alpha Chapter.

Three other Tau Beta Pi collegiate chapters sent members to participate. They came from Michigan Kappa at Western Michigan University, Michigan Epsilon at Wayne State University, and Michigan Zeta at Kettering University.
