Last week, student organizations, including the TN Beta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at Vanderbilt University hosted a celebration of engineering, or E-Day, to give “undergraduates a break from the fall grind while staying true to their field of study.” Activities included Code Golf, Rubik’s Cube, a “Minute to Win It,” and an edible car contest.
TN Beta recording secretary Justin E. Huntress, TN B 2015, was the Tau Beta Pi organizer and spoke about the strategy behind getting an edible car to roll. “The biggest key is finding wheels that will support the weight of the car and roll, Huntress said. “Corn is sturdy, but it doesn’t roll. Doughnuts are just crushed under the weight of the car. Click here for the full article and see the above picture of Huntress’ edible car.
