Richard “Richie” W. Rice – CO A 2016, a petroleum engineering junior at the Colorado School of Mines and second team All-American; he is the starting center on the offensive line for the Orediggers, was named 2014 first team Academic All-RMAC, and was named to the 2013 Academic All-RMAC Honor Roll.

The University of Wyoming reported that professor emeritus Charles W. Dolan, Ph.D. (MA Z ’65), has been elected as an honorary member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI). Less than 300 honorary members have been selected to the ACI in the past 50 years. Dr. Dolan has been an ACI member for 47 years and active at the national level for 44 years. He was cited for his “tireless pursuit of excellence in building codes based on your sound and innovative research and broad industrial experience, your ability to lead and collaborate for mutual success, and your lasting legacy as an inspiring educator and author.”

Joseph M. Feeney, WV A 2014, a mechanical and aerospace engineering senior at West Virginia University (WVU) was recently profiled by the WVU for being a 2014-14 Tau Beta Pi Scholar. “This is truly an honor for me,” said Feeney. “I was ecstatic when I was inducted into Tau Beta Pi in 2012, because I have always viewed induction into the society as a pinnacle achievement for an engineering student.”
Feeney is a member of the “Pride of West Virginia” Mountaineer Marching Band, a member of the WVU EcoCAR 3 team, and has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout his studies at WVU. Click here for the press release
