Fred W. Haise, OK A ’59, will be the featured keynote speaker at the 2015 Florida Chautauqua Assembly January 23-25. He was the lunar module pilot on Apollo 13, has logged 142 hours and 54 minutes in space, was a research pilot, and was a weather flight instructor in the U.S. Navy.
Haise joined Tau Beta Pi while pursuing his undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering at the University of Oklahoma. In 1970, he and the Apollo 13 crew received the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Arizona State University (ASU) School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering “seeks applicants for a full time lecturer position beginning January 2015. This is a non-tenure track appointment with a fixed term academic year contract. A minimum of a M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline and teaching experience in an undergraduate program is required.”
