Amanda Lynch, NY G 2015, was recently named to the 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-America® Women’s Division III basketball first team. Lynch is a senior majoring in biomedical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she is the first women’s basketball player in school history to be named a National Academic All-America. She currently leads the team in scoring, rebounding, and minutes per game. Lynch is captain of the basketball team, a member of RPI’s lacrosse team, and is a two-time Capital One Academic All-District® First Team selection and a three-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree.

The State of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame inducted five new members in the class of 2015 on Saturday, February 21, in Opeika, AL. Four of the five inductees are Tau Bates. Below is a list of the Tau Beta Pi members, their chapter and class, and most recent occupation.

On Thursday, February 26, at the annual Engineers’ Week Awards and Celebration banquet hosted by the Structural Engineers of New Hampshire, Alex Azodi, P.E., will be named the 2015 New Hampshire Engineer of the Year. Azodi, CA R ’84, is principal with Omega Structural Engineers. He was selected “based on his long record of service to the profession and community service.” Read the article for more biographical details
Azodi founded Omega in 2004, has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering, serves on the State of New Hampshire Board of Professional Engineers, and provides pro bono structural engineering services to Newbury when needed.
