On the Move, June 2015

Michael V. Pishko, Ph.D. (WY A ’86), began as dean of the University of Wyoming’s (UW) College of Engineering and Applied Science on March 1 of this year. Previously, Dr. Pishko was the director of the National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing at Texas A&M. He worked at Texas A&M since 2007, also serving as an engineering professor. In April of 2015, he was initiated into Tau Beta Pi at the WY Alpha Chapter at UW as an eminent engineer. Read the news release for more biographical details.

In February, the Flexitallic Group (TX) appointed Jon D. Stokes, MO A ’87, as its chief executive officer. Most recently Stokes served as president of the Daniel Measurement and Control Business at Emerson Electric. Western Carolina University (WCU) has named Hugh Jack, Ph.D. (MI L ’84), as the inaugural Cass Ballenger Distinguished Professor of Engineering. Dr. Jack will begin his new position on July 6, 2015. He is currently professor of product design and manufacturing engineering at Grand Valley State University (MI). In addition, he will serve as head of the department of engineering and technology at WCU. According to the news article, Dr. Jack’s research interests include manufacturing controls, robotics, rapid prototyping, and process planning.
