The current governor of the state of Nebraska, Peter Ricketts, recently appointed Jeff Fassett, P.E. (WY A ’74), as the new director of the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources, beginning on August 3. Currently, Fassett is director of the water rights strategic program for HDR Engineering (WY). Previously, he served as the Wyoming State Engineer and “was a key official for implementation of Wyoming’s instream flow protection law enacted in 1986.” Read the news article

Interim dean Jason M. Keith, Ph.D. (OH K ’95), of the Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University (MSU) has been selected as the full-time acting dean. Previously, he was a professor of engineering, director, and chair of engineering at MSU. Read the news announcement for more details
