Daniel J. Schuller, Ph.D. (IN A ’91), has been hired to the new position of executive vice president, strategy and corporate development at Aqua America, Inc. Previously, Dr. Schuller was in the Asset Management – Infrastructure Investments group at J.P. Morgan. At Aqua, he will be responsible for the company’s overall corporate development including acquisitions of regulated and market-based businesses. He has bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in civil engineering from Purdue University.
According to the press release, Aqua America is one of the largest U.S.-based, publicly traded water utilities and serves nearly 3 million people in Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, Illinois, Texas, New Jersey, Indiana and Virginia.

2014-15 Elite 89 recipient Thomas L. Woodruff, VA A 2015, was the top vote getter, receiving 621 votes, as the “(fan) favorite 2014-15 Elite 89 Winner.” Woodruff is a recent mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Virginia where he was a member of the baseball team. He started 39 games in 2015 as an infielder/outfielder. He had a two-run single in game two of the College World Series championship series, which UVA eventually won.
