The Daily Texan newspaper of the University of Texas at Austin reported on the opening of the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) campus this week. The new campus was formed through a merger of the University of Texas-Pan American and the University of Texas-Brownsville. According to the article, the Texas Legislature created UTRGV campus in 2013 and construction began in August of 2014.”
In March 2014, the Texas Nu Chapter of Tau Beta Pi was installed at UT-Pan American.

Sisters Arsine Baghdasarian, CA I 2014, and Meline Baghdasarian, CA I 2014, were recently profiled by AECOM. Both work in Richland, WA, at the Hanford Nuclear Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant as cognizant systems engineers on an AECOM project. The sisters were born to an Armenian family and raised in Tehran, Iran.

The mechanical engineering department of Brigham Young University recently highlighted the 12 students that received 2015 Tau Beta Pi scholarships. In total, 19 BYU engineering undergraduate students were awarded TBP Scholarships. In the last three years, 62 BYU students have been awarded TBP Scholarships.
