Engineering Opportunities for New Faces, Coding, & High School Scholarships

Applications are now being accepted for the DiscoverE New Faces of Engineering Professional and New Faces College Edition. The deadline to complete nomination forms is November 20. Winners will be announced in April 2016 and College Edition winners will receive scholarships.

The requirements for the two competitions are as follows: New Faces Professional must be 30 years or younger as of December 31, 2015 with a degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. university of an equivalent international institution. For College Edition, students must be third-fourth-fifth-year students with a GPA of 3.0 or better and be enrolled in a bachelor’s of science engineering program.

On Wednesday, October 21, from 6-8 p.m. the Microsoft College Code Competition will take place at the University of Virginia. Teams can consist of up to three students maximum, all 18 years or older. Registration and participation are free. Click here to register and for more details.
