Princeton University (NJ) seeks the next Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Nominations should be received by November 13, 2015, and candidates should “possess an outstanding record of accomplishment in research, teaching and administration, and be responsible for the quality, conduct, administration, planning, and development of the school’s teaching programs and research activities.” Read more about the position.


Faculty candidates to help lead instructional and research efforts in mathematical optimization and operations research are being sought to join the Virginia Tech department of industrial and systems engineering. According to the job listing, “for particularly well-establish full professor candidates with outstanding credentials, an endowed professorship may be available. Review of applications will begin on December 7, 2015, and will continue until the position is filled.


The Chronicle of Higher Education posted a job opportunity for two tenure-track faculty positions in the MIT Institute for Medical Engineering and Science (IMES). The appointment would be at the assistant or untenured associate professor level. In special cases, a senior faculty appointment may be possible. IMES “aims to pioneer novel research and graduate education paradigms at the convergence of engineering, science, and medicine.” To be considered for this position, responses of interest must be received by December 15, 2015.
