The application period for the 83rd annual program of Tau Beta Pi Fellowships opened on December 1, 2015. The deadline to complete the online application is February 1, 2016. Last year, 31 TBP Fellows received cash stipends of $10,000 for a year of advanced study. More details can be found here. You must create a new application profile for each year that you apply. The Michigan Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at the University of Michigan, recently posted images from this semester’s activities including a TBP Generals event, a joint Euchre tournament with the local chapter of Eta Kappa Nu, and hands-on STEM activities with local cub scouts and with local school districts as part of the K-12 MindSET program. The 2015 Annual Computer Security Applications Conference takes place December 7-9, 2015, in Los Angeles, CA. On Wednesday, December 9, at 9am Jeannette M. Wing, Ph.D. (MA B ’79), will speak on Cyber-Physical Meets Cybersecurity as the invited essayist keynote speaker.
Dr. Wing is corporate vice president at Microsoft Research. She also serves as an adjunct on the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) faculty where she has twice served as head of the CMU computer science department. Learn more about Dr. Wing and see the full conference program.
