Thomas W. Williams, Ph.D. (NY Q ’65), will speak at Stanford University on Friday, February 5, on the topic of “Another Inconvenient Truth: Snails Are More Intelligent Than Us.” Dr. Williams is a consultant in the area of electronic design automation and is an adjunct professor at the University of Calgary (Canada). The announcement says that “Dr. Williams will describe the problems with scaling and a number of possible solutions, including the latest alternative paths and their relative merits.”
