Upcoming Events: Pi Day, TX Alpha Centennial, Alumni Gatherings

A reminder that Monday, March 14, 2016, is Tau Beta Pi Day. We encourage everyone to wear their Tau Beta Pi Bent, apparel, or insignia. We also invite you to participate in local events that might be taking place near you. For a list of known activities being hosted by alumni and collegiate chapters of the Association, click here.

Please share your Tau Beta Pi Day images and videos using the hashtag #TauBetaPiDay and submit them with summaries of your event for publication. Enjoy your Pi Day and assist Tau Beta Pi in rounding up (3.14.16) your fellow Tau Bates and proudly displaying your membership in Tau Beta Pi the Engineering Honor Society.


The Texas Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at the University of Texas at Austin, will celebrate the chapter’s Centennial (1916-2016) on Saturday, April 9. The celebration will include a reception, starting at 6pm, and a dinner, starting at 7pm. All of the evening’s activities will take place at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center. The following is a list of upcoming Tau Beta Pi alumni gatherings. View the calendar for all currently planned events. A reminder that unless stated, events are open to graduates of all Tau Beta Pi chapters. Please let the point of contact know if you plan to attend an event, or if you would like to be added to the list for that local TBP group.

Sunday, March 13: Seattle, Washington – Pi Day celebration, MindSET overview, and robotics presentation
Thursday, March 17: Urbana, Illinois – Alumni attending varsity men’s glee club event
Saturday, March 19: Cleveland, Ohio – Pi Day volunteering at Cleveland foodbank, then lunch, and election meeting
Saturday, March 19: Tampa, Florida – Join TBP students from District 5 for their annual conference
Saturday, March 19: Greenville, North Carolina – Installation of the 245th TBP collegiate chapter at East Carolina University
Saturday, April 2: Charlottesville, Virginia – Join TBP student from District 4 for their annual conference
