There are several alumni gatherings of Tau Beta Pi members scheduled to take place in October. You can find the calendar with a list of all events here. A reminder that these events are open to all Tau Bate (alumni and student) from any chapter, unless otherwise stated. Find details below on upcoming events. San Diego, California – Tuesday, October 4 (alumni reception)

The civil & environmental engineering department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is accepting applications for an assistant/ associate professor of transportation engineering with a special emphasis on sustainable transportation systems. According to the job listing, the position is available starting Fall 2017.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: (a) teaching undergraduate classes and laboratories in civil engineering in general, and transportation engineering in particular (b) supervising undergraduate and graduate-level research; (c) developing and maintaining externally-funded research programs. Candidates for the position are required to have earned undergraduate and doctorate degrees in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. Applicants are encouraged to submit materials by November 1, 2016, for full consideration.

The Twitter account of West Virginia University’s Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources highlighted recent volunteer work by the West Virginia Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi. Several volunteers worked together to help flood relief efforts. Other collegiate volunteers from SWE also helped out at Animal Friends. Click here to see the image and tweet.
