Pearson Education recently profiled mechanical engineering student Amanda C. Haynes, TX Q 2018, and her aspirations to become a Disney Imagineer. Haynes is a junior at the University of Texas at El Paso where she uses “her passion for engineering and love of learning (to) help keep her motivated.” In the article, she talks about the responsibilities of an Imagineer.
“Imagineers are responsible for designing and building the rides and designing the lines to make sure the lines don’t stretch out to the walkways and cause fire hazards. They decide where the emergency exits will be located and work with forced perspective to lead the eye to the ride and not to the mechanical stuff behind the scenes.”
