MIT has announced that four of its students are winners of the 2017 Marshall Scholarship competition. Funded by the British government, the Marshall Scholarships provide exceptional young Americans the opportunity for two years of graduate study in any field at a U.K. institution. Two of the scholars are Tau Bates:
Zach R. Hulcher – (MA B 2017) double major in electrical engineering & computer science and physics. He will study high-energy physics at Cambridge University and is MA Beta Chapter corresponding secretary.
Daniel Zuo – (MA B 2017) is a senior electrical engineering & computer science major. He will do two consecutive one-year master’s degree programs at Cambridge University.

Jesse T. Orach, ME A 2016, was the individual race champion at the America East Cross Country Championships. He is the university’s first cross-country champion since 2011. He recently received an Elite 17 award, was named to the America East All-Academic Team, and was named America East Men’s Performer of the Week five times this season.
