Washington State University (WSU) selected Kirk H. Schulz, Ph.D. (MS A ’86), as its 11th president. Previously, Dr. Schulz was president and professor of chemical engineering at Kansas State University. In addition, he is the chair of the NCAA board of governors, the association’s highest-ranking decision-making body.

On Wednesday, December 7, the Virginia Epsilon Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at Virginia Commonwealth University, is hosting a fundraiser at the Panera Bread in Richmond, VA. To participate, you need to bring in the flyer posted to the VCU Engineering Twitter page and hand a hard copy or show an electronic version upon placing your order.
The VA Epsilon chapter is looking to raise funds to increase campus involvement. Last year, the chapter hosted an Engineering Futures session and a Pi Day obstacle course.

Congratulations to the Illinois Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi and the New York Theta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of their installations. The IL Gamma Chapter at Northwestern University was established on December 6, 1941. The NY Theta Chapter at Clarkson University was established on December 4, 1941.
