On Monday, February 13, the California Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi is hosting the STAR Banquet. This is the annual Student-Teacher Academic Roundtable at Stanford University. The event provides an opportunity for discussion between engineering students and faculty about the School of Engineering’s successes and potential improvements.
This year’s meal is Thai food with vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Visit the event page or RSVP to attend here.
Engineers Week 2017 takes place from February 19-25. On the campus of Iowa State University (ISU), the week will include networking, entertainment, and outreach for the College of Engineering. This year’s co-presidents of ISU’s E-Week in charge of planning teams are Natalie A. Hanson, IA A 2017, and Grace M. Rapp, IA A 2018.
The pair were recently interviewed in a news article in which they discussed their involvement and favorite activities of E-Week. Both attributed their interest in the event to Cody J. Hancock, IA A 2016, a former student leader of the ISU Student Engagement Committee. The Pi Mile Run, co-hosted by the IA Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, was also discussed as a successful event with 80+ runners and free pie.
