Georgia Alpha Events, Kansas Gamma Volunteers, & Minnesota Alpha Pi Mile Run 2017

From March 8-15, the Georgia Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at Georgia Tech is hosting events for Engineers Week. All Tech students are invited to attend. On Thursday, March 9, there will be a paper airplane competition for students to launch paper airplanes from the bridge between the College of Computing and Klaus. All supplies will be provided and the winners will receive a small prize. More information is available on the event’s Facebook page.

In addition, on Sunday, March 12, the chapter will host the “Tau Beta Pi Mile” to celebrate Tau Beta Pi Day (3.14.17).

On the Twitter page for the Kansas Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at Kansas State University, an image of a group of TBP-student volunteers was posted from a clean-up activity on Tuesday, March 7. The post reads: “Engineers do more than study! Thanks to @TauBetaPi members, Tuttle Creek Boulevard is trash-free! #cleanup”

The University of Minnesota’s Habitat for Humanity and the Minnesota Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, are partnering to host the Pi Mile Run 2017.

The annual event will take place on Saturday, April 15, beginning at 9:30am. Event registration and start location will be at Coffman Memorial Hall. There will be pie and t-shirts for all race participants.
