Jaclyn V. Solimine, MA Q 2017, has been named to the America East Track and Field All-Academic team. She is a mechanical engineering major at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. According to the news article, Solimine is the school’s individual record holder in both the 3,000 and 5,000-meter races and took the America East crown in the 5,000-meters this season.

On March 24-25, the District 13 Conference of Tau Beta Pi took place in El Paso, TX, hosted by the Texas Theta Chapter at the University of Texas at El Paso. There are nine TBP collegiate chapters in District 13 and together with Association Officials and other members there were more than 40 on hand.
TBP Executive Councillor George J. Morales, Ph.D. (FL E ’06), traveled to participate in the Conference and took several pictures, including the above image of the TX Theta bent monument. It was also the final TBP event for District Director Jeff G. Dabling, UT B ’00, who is retiring from his position. Dabling has served for nearly 15 years as a TBP District Director and before that was Utah Beta chapter president.

About 10 current members and initiates from the New Mexico Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology participated in a food drive over the weekend.
