New Faces of Engineering, Ohio University Awards, & Student Profile (April 2017)

Wednesday, April 5, was “Global Day of the Engineer” being promoted by DiscoverE with the hashtag #GlobalEngineer. In addition, the group announced the 2017 New Faces of Engineering! winners. This year 11 college students and 11 engineering professionals were recognized. Five of the New Faces of Engineering College Edition are Tau Beta Pi members and four of the ten New Faces of Engineering Professionals are Tau Bates. More info below:

The Ohio Delta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at Ohio University, recently hosted the annual Tau Beta Pi student awards banquet to honor outstanding leadership and academic performance by students in the Russ College. “Sunday was one of their (graduating seniors) final moments to be honored for all their hard work and efforts inside and outside of the classroom,” OH Delta President and mechanical engineering senior Steven V. Wise, OH D 2017, said.

The prestigious Robe Leadership Institute’s Gerald Loehr Outstanding Leader Award went to Anisa N. Hardin, OH D 2017, a senior majoring in civil engineering. Rachel A. Sheridan, PA M 2017, was recently profiled on the Behrend Blog of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. She will be graduating in May with a degree in mechanical engineering.
