On Thursday, November 9, the Arkansas Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at the University of Arkansas, will host an Engineering Futures: People Skills session. According to the announcement, the session will teach “the importance of developing your interpersonal skills in today’s world and how to make them even better.” UArkansas students of all majors are invited to attend this free session.

The North Carolina Gamma Chapter, at Duke University, is co-hosting an E-Social on Friday, November 3. Smart Home is the other host and will bring a bike blender. The NC Gamma members will have a “Pie a Pi” event, so come and ~blend in~ while pieing your favorite TBP members.

J. Michael Doster, Ph.D. (NC A ’81), will speak on “Coupling Thermal Energy Storage to Small Module Reactors” at the University of Tennessee on Wednesday, October 8. Dr. Doster is an Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate professor of nuclear engineering at North Carolina State University.
